Hey! Daye here from the blog Potpurrri. I’m hanging out with you on Broke But Bougie to share my single and sassy Valentine’s Day look! In true BBB cotton budget spirit, it’s curated (almost) entirely from Melrose Trading Post flea market finds!
Whoever put the idea into our heads that we should be sad if single on Valentine’s Day is really rotten. I say dress up for yourself, slap on some sass, and find some friends to watch movies with and eat chocolate. Or, in the words of Elizabeth Taylor: “Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together” … and I reiterate that lovingly. Loving yourself is just as important as loving someone else!
This sassy and so comfy dress is from the company PurrrLA; she sells dresses made of vintage and unused older fabrics, and a lot of it has a 90s vibe that I really love. Also everything is made in LA! Her shop prices are higher online, but if you’re local you can snag dresses like this for $25!
This is one of my favorite cardigans and I got it at Goodwill forever ago; it had to have been under the $10 mark. Luckily, my mom is handy at sewing, and she added these adorable hearts to the back in order to make it fit better.
This necklace, I’m in love with this necklace. It’s just so adorable! Also found at Melrose for $5. It from Lolapples and they have so many cute and quirky charm necklaces at a great price.
Lastly, my leather purple boots, a mix of sassy and sweet! A Valentine’s Day gift to me from me
I’ve got a date with some cake and good company this Valentine’s Day, I hope you all have a sweet day as well! Give me a follow on Instagram at @dayebraham_lincoln if you’re into the sassy vibes 😉
