3 Looks Inspired By Les Misérables
Hello, my name is Bridget, and I’m a musical theatre nerd. 50% of my iTunes library is musical soundtracks. If you were riding in my car in high school, you best have been ready to sing, because my CRV was a stage, and drivers with road rage my audience.
So you can imagine how STOKED I was to see Les Misérables the movie as soon as it came out. I went Christmas Day and convinced half my extended family to go with! I won’t get into my thoughts about the movie (Maybe a later post if you’ll humor me?), but the incredible costumes from the film inspired the looks below. Let me know what you think (about the movie or the outfits!)
Inspector Javert
An incorruptible policeman. He makes it his life’s work to track down the story’s hero, Jean Valjean.
Blue High Neck Long Sleeve Crop Coat – $50
Berry Twill Fly Front Jean – $35
Traveling Around The Globe Locket – $28
Eponine
The Thénardiers’ eldest daughter, Eponine, is a spunky creature who helps her parents steal, but she is eventually redeemed by her love for Marius. She proves that no one is beyond redemption, and she ultimately emerges as one of the stories’s most tragic and heroic figures.
Chic Nova Retro Wool Skirt – $40
Michael Kors Equestrian Belt – $40
Gavroche
The Thénardiers’ eldest son. Gavroche is kicked out of the house at an early age and becomes a Parisian street urchin. He is a happy-go-lucky child who enjoys the small pleasures of life and demonstrates unusual generosity toward those even less fortunate than he is.
