This past week, I was invited to take a look at three Spring/Summer 2014 collections by some up and coming fashion designers. This was my first experience into the fashion designer-PR company-sneak peak viewing…thing.
I was excited to discover new designers, check out some sweet threads, and be inspired to later use the looks to create with my own broke but bougie spin on.
The first brand I checked out was United Nude, a brand started by an architect. This fact became extremely apparent when I was stopped along the way by these adorable neon flats.
The entire collection was filled with interesting angles, lines, and innovating shapes. And who doesn’t love a pop of neon on those otherwise monochromatic days?
When you say Mavi, I say denim. There were racks on racks of denim put out by this brand. They played with different textures, prints and detailing. My favorite was this patchwork pair. I wanted to throw them on with a blazer and some ankle booties, and take on Tinseltown!
These straw hats from Australian brand Helen Kaminski were the first thing that caught my eye as I walked into the room. I love how they’ve made simple fedoras works of art with the intricate raffia stitching and weaving designs.
Which are your favorites? Look for some of these details in my own upcoming looks!
