Who doesn’t love a delicious, juicy burger? You might be a traditional gal who goes only for lettuce and tomato under the bun, but here are a few toppings to try the next time you’re feeling adventurous in the burger department.
Strawberries: I was not a believer until I recently tried a burger produced by a local San Diego caterer, Indulchi. Pair sweet slices of strawberries with brie cheese on a well seasoned beef burger patty, and you have a surprising treat!
Roasted persimmons: If you are sold on the strawberries, try roasting the fall favorite, persimmons, in nice tomato-like slices. Combine with goat cheese or feta for top presentation and flavor at your next burger bash.
Kale chips: Replace lettuce slices with kale chips. Super fun and crispy, kale adds a unique texture as well as vitamins.
Greek yogurt: Another healthy swap for regular burger condiments, yogurt can be doctored up to become all kinds of amazing smears for burger buns. Add roasted garlic or perhaps cayenne pepper for a spicy kick!
- Duck skin: Get fancy and find some delectable duck skin to fry up! Might just forget what bacon is.
