We made it! We have officially spent our first night in our new apartment in downtown Washington D.C. We arrived during a torrential downpour which, coming from parched California, was lovely. The weather, the smells, and the general surroundings brought back so many fond memories of growing up in Virginia.
We ran into our new place completely drenched and were slightly nervous to open the door to our new home. We rented it sight unseen so, needless to say, there were butterflies. But not to worry! The place is amazing and I can’t wait to start getting everything in place and making it feel like a home. I shipped an air mattress that was waiting for us when we arrived since our bed won’t be here until Wednesday. I’m so glad we did that! It was a little rough but exponentially better than the floor for the time being.
Here are a few sneak peeks of our new little home! I’m filming an empty apartment tour that I will be posting this Saturday.
